Fiber Rope Protection Hot Dip Galvanized Light Type Rope Thimble DIN6899B

DIN6899B thimbles are usually made of galvanized steel or stainless steel to provide corrosion resistance, ensures durability and longevity.

It has a compact cylindrical shape with a smooth inner surface. These smooth surfaces minimize wear and damage to ropes or cables running through them.

The main purpose of using DIN6899B thimbles is to protect ropes or cables from wear, tear and damage caused by sharp edges or rough surfaces.

By inserting a rope or wire rope through the open end of the thimble, the load is evenly distributed, reducing wear and damage.

Light type DIN6899B thimbles are commonly used in marine and aquaculture mooring lines.

    DESCRIPTION:

Rope Spliced Thimbles are available in various sizes to accommodate different rope diameters. Installation of a rope thimble usually involves threading a rope or wire rope through the open end of the thimble and securing the loop or eyelet using suitable techniques such as splicing or crimping. This helps increase the strength, durability and longevity of the rope or wire rope assembly. The condition of the wire rope thimble should be checked regularly. Any signs of wear, corrosion, or deformation should be addressed immediately to ensure that the thimbles continues to provide proper protection and reinforcement.

DIN6899B wire rope thimble is european commercial type, made from mild steel. It is light duty and widely used for light duty mooring or rigging applications by rope spliced.

    Material: Mild Steel Q235
    Surface: H.D.Galvanized or Electric galvanized.
    Size: 3mm-45mm

Rope thimble is inserted at the rope terminal to from the hard eye of the loop before the rope is secured, acting protection against wear and the deformation of rope eye. Sometimes, it is coupled with oblong master link to have more easier connection with others by shackles. In one mooring system, rope spliced with thimbles are widely used as upper mooring lines, anchor chains are used as lower bottom chains.
